I was on rbrowser for quite awhile until Transmit 3 came out. It was the first time I was willing to pay for an ftp app. Great program.

Hmm - I might start a new thread "What is your favourite FTP Client Thread?"

This has to be one of the most asked questions on this board. Someone really ought to make a complete Mac FTP client face-off deathmatch and report the results on a page.

Too many variables I suppose - so many different FTP servers.

yes, there really should be a sticky in this forum. Favourite apps, Dreamweaver vs GoLive, how do i centre a css layout, and all the other classics that continually pop up

I like fugu, very simple and straightforward interface, but it does have a few minor bugs.
have also tried CyberDuck, which seems nice, if not so straightforward. NetFinder, not so pleased with.

am not yet willing to pay for FTP, so haven't tried transmit.

I used Cyberduck before... it's kind of slow but it works.
I like Cuteftp a lot although I'm not using it anymore because I bought Transmit 3. Problems I've had with Transmit 3 is everytime I upload something over 30 MB, sometimes it doesn't work and restarts...

over 30 mb i upload allot of big files. 40 mb, 60 mb, and once almost 300 mbs! (big movie )

though i like the shuffle part because i go to more than 1 ftp host to upload things

Edit: a lite version? im kinda cheap

Ran into an interesting kink with Transmit today. It does not seem to support remote server to server transfers. Bummer.

Guess I'll have to get RBrowser for those tasks.

Which version were you using?

It says so right on the site:

I am sure Transmit is good, but I am partial to Fetch since I have been with it for so long.

I have version 3, but I sure as heck can't find where to connect server to server. I emailed support but did not get an answer back as of yet.

If it's there, it sure is hidden
