Just sent this feedback to Apple:

---
I love my new iPod photo 60GB. However, I would like to have added security for my iPod. Now that I have all my music AND photos on it, I would like to have some kind of password protection. I wouldn't like it at all if my iPod were stolen and anyone could see all my personal/family photos without access control.
---

Am I the only one that is concerned about this?

If your iPod were stolen, the thief is likely to just reset it rather than go looking through your personal photos.

And why am I using a password on my PowerBook then?

Photos, address books, calendars and also music (musicians out there?) can contain sensitive information!

An iPod and a laptop computer are still two different creatures. An optional password feature wouldn't be bad but it would still be easy to beat once an iPod is mounted.

Yes, I am also not sure how to implement an access security system on the iPod. Maybe a combination of click wheel buttons?

You could always create an encrypted disk and keep any sensitive data stored that way on the iPod. Wouldn't prevent theft, but it would keep sensitive data safe from prying eyes.

Okay, but I am also a bit concerned about access to the iPod without connecting to a computer, mainly contacts and photos via iPod interface.
