Unlike other posts, my iMac DV seems to wake from sleep slower than under 9.0.4. Has anyone else seen this problem?

My iMac also experienced sleep problems with 9 and 9.0.4, where the machine would not go into deep sleep on its own. I followed several threads here long ago on others with this problem, but never saw a solution.

With 9.1, the machine seems to sleep on it own now, but the power button still does not start pulsating. When you nudge it, it wakes very slowly, and the HD is the last thing to appear. Any ideas?

My Powerbook wake faster (and more reliably) from sleep now. Under 9.0.4 it could take an age, and sometimes wouldn't wake at all :-(

You might want to make sure it's not trying to re-establish network connections.
That can be assured by trashing all the aliases in your "Recent Servers" folder...
And making sure that anything else you mount you don't check as "open automatically" when first connecting.
?Anybody else? was there another pref to elim to prevent the network search delay?

Thanks, Richard. I will give that a shot. But was there ever any resolution to iMacs that did not sleep on their own under OS9 and 9.0.4? When I bought my iMac, it had 8.6 and it went to sleep just fine.

Under OS X beta my PowerBook has a 1-3 second wake time.
