Somehow my iMac DV 400 w/9.1 is getting confused when I open a file/folder that is bit hidden underneath the finder menu bar. I no longer can click on the finder menu to do a shut down, etc. Changing resolutions does not fix it -- lowering resolutions just removes the menu bar all together. I have to do a hard reset to get everything back. Any ideas? The only non-standard thing running on my menu bar is TaskMenuBar 2.3.1, which is the latest version. I've even removed it and the same thing continues to happen. Any ideas? Thanks, Miguel

Disable TaskMenuBar, delete is preferences, delete the Finder Preferences and System Preferences (System Folder -> Preferences).
See how that goes.
If it doesn't work, report back, and I'll get you to reinstall the System and Finder manually.

I am seeing the exact same behavior. I am sorry to see it is related to TaskMenuBar as that is one of my indispensible utilities!
