I have an Ibook running OS9.0. When using sherlock to search the internet I get an error message saying "check settings" and sherlock will not finish loading all items found in the search. Then I cannot close the sherlock window. Using force quit usually causes a freeze and I get an error type 10 message.

Mac kb says to disable all sherlock plugins and then reinstall one at a time until I find one that causes the error. Now if I just knew how to disable the plugins, I might be able to make some progress. Any help appreciated.

Remove the items from your "Internet Search Sites" folder in your System Folder... they're the plugins.

Also try trashing Sherlock's prefs...
