I am using an Applevision 1710 Monitor with my PowerMac 9500/200 and have
been running OS 9.1 for a couple of weeks now with no problems. When I
booted this evening my desktop reverted to default resolution and a message
appeared:

"An Apple Monitor Plugins error occurred
The calibration data for this monitor is incorrect.
Please contact Apple Customer Service for assistance"

I removed the monitor preferences from the preferences folder and rebooted
but the same thing occurred. I replaced the Apple Monitor Plugins extension
with the one from OS 9.0.4 and my desktop resolution was now correct as
selected with all resolution options available, BUT the error message still
appears.

The OS 9.1 Apple Monitor Plugins extension is version 2.0.4. The OS 9.0.4
extension is version 1.8.1

Does anyone have a clue as to why I am getting the error message and what I
can do to use the newer extension again?

Thanks,
Barry Breen
