can't recognize harddisk :confused:

	This is something that has happened to me when installing OS9 on a G4, an (older) iMac and lately on a Powerbook of a friend. After partitioning a harddisk, the two new disk are visible on the desktop, however when I want to save from a program and in the pop-up window click <desktop>, it won't show the harddisk. ? I tried reinstalling everything several times but the problem keeps turning up. What do I do? thanks, b a s
