I plan on taking the day off from work and taking the family to the Toledo Zoo. We've never been there, just feel like checking it out.

It is my day. It is my plan to take the family to the zoo. My idea.
I will get extreme joy seeing my daughter experience the zoo. We took her to a min zoo last weekend and she was overjoyed. It was a great experience seeing her like that.
For her to be happy is one of the best birthday presents I can have. Having children has really helped me realize how futile it is to be materialistic.

The zoo today was GREAT!!! I had been to the San Diego Zoo a couple years ago, and the Toledo Zoo really felt like the San Diego Zoo, but it seemed about half the size. Perfect for a full day. The San Diego Zoo requires a couple of full days to truly appreciate it.
My daughter's face lit up at just about every animal exhibit we entered. She loves to watch bears and the polar bears had her so excited she could hardly watch them.
One of the best days of my life.
And lastly, thanks MacNN for the lovely b-day email.
