on the setup screen for the new macbook pro they give the option of 1x1gb memory and 1x2gb + 1x2gb memory. now where would u get 2gb of memory on one stick and would it work in the macbok pro duo.

I'm trying to pick up a new MBP Core2 ASAP and I also need a 1x2GB stick- the only place I've found it is crucial.com and it was $1200!?!
The guys at the Lenox Apple Store (Atlanta, GA) said they should be getting the 2GB sticks in "soon"- hopefully w/in 2 weeks, though obviously that was pure speculation on their part.
Anybody else found someone with 2GB memory sticks available right now?

You can get the 2GB SO-DIMMs from just about any memory manufacturer... however they won't work in the Core Duo MBPs: same chipset as the new C2D MBPs, but different firmware.
