k...
also, by 'extract all file into one folder, does that mean take each seperate document?
many of them are duplicate names, so just rename?

You don't have to rename anything.

Unzip the folder, I presume Titan panel still comes with other "modules" for it and so it will probably unzip to one folder containing "Titan", "TitanXP", "TitanQuests" etc. Move these folders to your Interface/AddOns folder.

yeah, i believe that that's the problem...
in titan panel, there are multiple folders within it.
such as titan loot type, titanbag, etc.
each of these has duplicates like localization.DE.lua and Localizaition.FR.lue..etc
so do each of these count as a seperate addon?
oh uhm...I'm using 'the unarchiver' it says teh contents of this folder cannot be extracted with this program.
oh, one weird thing...
world of warcraft is in my name folder.
e.g. johnsmith...
not apps. This is b/c i am not administrator...
does this matter?

so if I end uo not liking a mod I install I can always go back and delete all of the folders except these 3. Make sure the ..\AddOns folder doesn't contain anything but the 13 default Blizzard AddOns folders (all starting with
Blizzard_) They are: Blizzard_AuctionUI, Blizzard_BattlefieldMinimap, Blizzard_BindingUI, Blizzard_CombatText
Blizzard_CraftUI, Blizzard_GMSurveyUI, Blizzard_InspectUI, Blizzard_ItemSocketingUI, Blizzard_MacroUI
Blizzard_RaidUI, Blizzard_TalentUI, Blizzard_TradeSkillUI, Blizzard_TrainerUI. This should be the case
if you've never used AddOns before (I should point out that this is from before Burning Crusade came out, so that might have added a folder of two, I don't know, but regardless it'll start with Blizzard_)

and I'll be cool?

'the unarchiver' will say 'the contents of this folder cannot be extracted w/ this program'.
i've got .lua, .xml, .tga, and a .toc.

If you've verified that you have them in the Warcraft/Interface/Addons folder... And that they are not in a sub-folder in Addons. All folders need to be in same Addons folder..no "nested" folders.

They might be outdated. If so, click Add'on's in lower left of WoW login window and make sure that you check "Load outdated addons".

Otherwise, you may need to provide more information to assist in diagnosing problem.

Luck.

WoW Matrix

Installs addons for you so no more file dragging. Also it updates all your installed addons automatically.
Its a life saver.

It seems relevant and useful and I don't see anything to indicate that Starsixer benefits from linking to it, so I'm thinking it's OK.

i think though that the wowace updater only updates addons that are in the ace library, wow matrix has a larger library of addons to pull from. if im wrong on this then sorry, its just what i understood.

Ah. I thought at first it was one of the gold-selling things. Bit I still like manually updating. OCD ftw and all that.
