So, I have been a mac user for a while now, but never really gamed until I discovered wow, lol. So, on the PC if I am having trouble with a quest I can alt-tab out, look it up on thotbot then go back to my quest, BUT on the mac I have to exit the game, is there another way?

Does Apple H work? It used to for me in Quake 3 but with IOUrban Terror it doesn't.

It depends on the game. They may or may not make the system calls that disable apple-tabbing.
Unfortunately, a great many do.

Most of the Mac games allow you to exit to window mode with key shortcut.

Blizzard's games are usually Command + M
