Are there any differences in the new iPod Touches that were announced today, besides iOs 5 and that it comes in white?

Do you think that an A5 iPod Touch is coming anytime soon?

Yeah, kind of sucks that they didn't want the iPod touch to take advantage of the way faster graphics.

Apple would prefer that iPod touch buyers migrate to the iPhone 4 or above.

For all the hype and talk about A4 and A5 in iPhone/iPad, they don't even mention the iPod Touch CPU on the tech specs page.

It is possible that the iPod touch is to thin for the A5. More likely Apple wants you to consider the iPhone instead, for which Apple charges more than 3 x as much.

A combination of this and Big Mac's explanation is probably the case here. Apple's obsession with making the touch as thin as possible doesn't help either.

So Infinity Blade 2 won't run on the iPod Touch? That is going to make a lot of cranky customers.

Just imagine the shitstorm people would kick up if the new iPod touch were three mm thicker than the old one.
