Come on, Pikmin 2 is hardly a high profile game.
Find me one person who has decided not to buy a 'Cube because they won't be able to get Pikmin 2 this year.

Your right but just about every game they come out with is delayed about 8 months.
So far nintendo seems to be selling to old nintendo fans like myself, with this many delays and fewer games on the market they can't afford not to have these suckers out on time.

It is also the reason the N64 did so badly and now the gamecube is turning out to be a bomb even though it has a few really good games.

Exactly!
I know that the GameCube is easily the best console out there, HOWEVER because of this reason (always late), the sales are the lowest out of all the consoles out there. They also release their systems with very few games. They should release the system with several dynamite games to get the sales rolling.
Nintendo may be great with technology, but the company's business skills are way below par.

And yes, listen to that master... Miyamoto has more hits than anyone else, so he knows something... more than me, anyway.

Disagree. The best console is the one with the best games. GC has **** for racing games, and it doesn't have GTA. Screw GC.

There's several version of that quote because several people translated it from Japanese to English.

XBox has the best hardware, PS2 has the most games and CameCube has some of the best games but a limited selection.

Although I meant best games, the console's still more powerful than the PS2, plus its almost as powerful as the Xbox and a fraction of the size.
GameCube has all of the Nintendo classics. Those alone are better than any of the Xbox and PS2 games (except Halo).
AND, GameCube has Metroid Prime!!!

Yeah, you gotta love the Gamecube's hard drive, Dolby Digital 5.1 audio output and 1080i HDTV.
Oh, that's right, IT DOESN'T HAVE THAT.

I'm not a real fan of the game, but it really was pretty damn innovative. You're exactly right about the best console being the one with the best games. Unfortunately, racing games all suck, and GTA is not good enough to make up for every other systems' lack of Metroid and Zelda, among other things.

Did you know that you don't have to scan? Scanning is only for those who are interested into Prime's story.
You said GTA is very innovative but failed to give any basic examples

Did I know I had to scan? Uh, that's something the game tells you to do.
Of course, how would YOU feel knowing half way through the game that you have to scan everything under the sun in order to get the best ending? Kinda pissed me off after dropping the $50 for it.
As for GTA, it's openness, the ability to do practically ANYTHING you want to, and the story are really the 3 main points of what made the game innovative.

who cares about performance, really? I mean as long as it does 3d with good textures (which the GC does *perfectly*).
I mean, for me the SNES is still better than the Xbox, and the xbox is like 2190x more powerful.

Multiple Endings and bonuses
Beat the game at 74% or less to get ending 1
Beat the game at 74-99% to get ending 2
Beat the game at 100% to get ending 3

Uh, those are rates for collecting items. I've beaten it with 100% items and <100% scans, and then with both 100% and it was EXACTLY THE SAME.

Ok, PLEASE be careful when you say "perfectly" because I've been playing Soul Calibur II for 4 days now and the GC has some serious, but uncommon issues with framerate and polygon drawing. Still better than the PS2, but it's not "perfect".
How is the SNES better than the Xbox? SNES doesn't have SSX Tricky.

I don't think they mean scanning Mike. You have to collect a number of ITEMS. I didn't scan anything I didn't have too and I got 80%.
Scanning is just for fun if you want to follow the story.

Well, either way, having to start the game AGAIN because they don't tell you right off the bat that you get the best ending depending on what you do is just cruel. Does N think we sit around playing videogames all day long?

That's also completely wrong. You can get any and all items in the entire game at any point. You could get the bare minimum right up to the last boss, then go back and get the rest, and still beat it with 100% of the items.
This is how it's been with every Metroid game. It is not news.

I went through the game a second
time for the express purpose of getting all the log entries and I
missed one stupid creature that only appears in one place at one
certain point in the game and I couldn't get one of the image
galleries. I could kill Retro for that.

That's an IMAGE GALLERY, not an ending. If you want all the images, then yeah, it's a pain in the ass.
YOU DON'T NEED THE GODDAMN IMAGES TO ENJOY THE F-ING GAME.
I've unlocked all the images, and believe me, you aren't missing much. So if you claim that Metroid Prime sucks because it's hard to get 25% of the bonus artwork, then you are stupid.
