yeah, but that list is way out of date. i don't think it's been updated in a couple years.

is it recognized at all by the system? like have you tried it with iChat, or looked at ASP?

In OS9 it shows up in apple system profiler as DV audio on firewire....in OSX it just shows a firewire bus 100 something...and imovie in OSX won't find it...if I boot into OS9 and open imovie it automatically finds the camera and I can do everything with it...so dumb..I just want to know why? it's a nice camcorder I hate to sell it already because I can't use it in OSX....thanks for all your help...Mark

My camera is on the compatibility list, and still sometimes does not get reconised. Here's what to do:

Shut down your computer.
-Unplug every wire from the back of your machine, and I mean every wire.
-Leave machine like this for at least 5 mins.
-Plug wires back in, and start the machine.
-Only pulg in camera after computer is started up.

Don't know what this resets, but my camera is then reconised after this. So, give it a try....

okay, well until a fix comes along (which may never!) if I import any movies etc while in imovie in OS9 can I then transfer my imovies and files into imovie in OSX? I can't see why not? in fact I might be able to answer myself in the next bit...thanks for all the help though...cheers, Mark

by the way in OS9 imovie buttons like play etc totally control the camera etc...I can hit play, rewind, pause and it all works without touching the camera....so I can't see it being the cable or firewire port? I think Apple disabled the use of samsung camcorders in imovie in OSX...not sure though...and yes I imported my imovie from OS9 into imovie in OSX and it works just perfectly! so I will keep using it this way for now...cheers...
