Hi all, this might be a repost so if it is just kick me in the arse..but it's also late and I am too lazy to search...I want to speed up my wifes flat panel imac with a bigger faster 7200 rpm drive..is this possible and is there a how to anywhere? thanks in advance..Mark

Apple didn't intend for the hard drives in the flat-panel iMacs to be a user-replaceable part. But if you really want to tear the thing apart and get in there....

Here ya go.

Hope you enjoy working with thermal paste.

The best thing you could do is put in a HD with 8MB of cache. As for the surgery to get to the HD, good luck.
