i think my pioneer dvr-109 is about reaching its life cycle, ive burned a lot and now it locks up when writing lead out. can i use a pioneer dvr-111d drive, just swap it out and burn right away w/o having to patch any firmware?

heh sorry i accidently hit the button twice, my connection was lagged. didn't mean to do that.

does it require me removing the entire faceplate off before installing it into my powermac g5?
