My question is quite simple -- as I thought the answer was... until I completely failed in building an AppleTalk-based network between 2 OS X boxes via an Ethernet cable.
We've just:
1) Activated AppleTalk & File Sharing via both computers's System Prefs;
2) Used "Connect to server..." command from the Finder;
3) Choosed the respective server (not the local machine displayed, but the only other possibility -- which was the real name of the other machine);
4) Entered a valid user's data for authentication...
And then, only the local partitions were choosable in the next panel: then, we only could mount OUR OWN PARTITIONS on the Desktop!!!
Weird, isn't it? Or what was wrong with our try???
Note: I do not speak about unauthorized connection as "Guest", simply rejected...
Thanks for your answer,
