Consolidate non-Apple/technical topics into the Lounge?

I believe the artificial splitting of non-Apple topics on this forum has caused a slow decline in Lounge activity, and caused discussion of topics in those specialised forums to decline as well.
The question was brought up why gaming has a separate forum and sports doesn't. Confining politics and other superheated topics I can see. But I'd really like to see these topics folded into the Lounge:
- Gaming
- Art and Graphic Design (Four topics?)
- Mac Modification (One topic)
I believe this will lead to increased activity in all topics as well as general lounge activity.
Just my 5¢

I'd agree.
The mac mod. forum seems a little out of lounge territory though. It would probably be better in the Hardware forums.

I've said a long time ago that moving all gaming topics out of Lounge pretty much stifled the conversation. People told me to just check my user control panel and shut up, so I did. I'd still like it to come back.
I think splitting these topics from the Lounge contributed to everyone now calling it "dried up and boring."

Whatever "I'm making waves" means, I agree as well.

Showing off your mac mods seems equally as much lounge material as showing off your home automation (with in depth discussion) and guitar pedals.
