I'm wondering if there's a setting I'm missing..

So I copy an icon to move it to another app. I hit delete, then paste, and the original icon comes back. I close the info pane and re-copy the icon to be placed, paste, and viola! the same deleted icon shows up.

Only thing that seems to clear the deleted icon out is a complete restart. Is this a bug of some kind, or is this just the nature of the beast? (10.2.6)

Changing finder icons under osx can be frustrating, sometimes they change, other times they won't.

Try Hide Itoh's Finder Icon contextual menu, it gets around the Finder's problem of new icons that won't "stick".

Look for "FinderIconCM 1.2" on this page: http://www.pixture.com/macosx.php

p.s. Hide Itoh is an icon god.

Dumb I know, but I've found repairing permissions plus a restart helps as well.
