So i'm getting out of paintball and i've always been wanting to pick up an i book or macbook, i found this one on a paintball forum, and the guy is selling it for $275?!?!?! this seems incredibly cheap to me. any help? heres a link

ok but is it worth it? cause i'm just lookin for something for school/ online working, i'd like to pick it up but my dads like freakin out and sayin its gonna be a piece of garbage...can someone find me a model number or something so i can get more specs on it?

It is a little obselete because of the intel macs...

It's not a deal. thats prob what its worth.

Just an explanation of the age....

2-3 years is considered obselete.

I recommend something a bit newer. A macbook would be ideal.

275 is about its value

its a g3 id atleast get one of the last versions of the g4 ibook or a macbook

I think if you can buy a perfectly good mac laptop for that price, you will get a couple of years out of it. Then go and upgrade when you have the $$$

i have in imac g5 and an ibook g3 800. i use the ibook all the time for light work and its totally fine.

i can only think of 3 reasons to get it:

1. you need or want to run os 9. even then a few 900's would not boot into 9.

2. you will be using it a lot on your lap. the g3 ibooks are a little cooler.

3. you plan on being careless with it. you won't be out a lot of money if it's lost, damaged, or stolen.

if none of these 3 apply to you, get something newer. i myself am partial to older machines, but that's just me.
