Hey... I saw one report that the 12" was shipping.... Has anybody else had this yet?

I haven't heard this yet. While most stores have demo units by now, it's still a day before January 21st, the date Steve said PowerBooks would start shipping. It's more likely that the release would happen later rather than earlier.

hmmm.... no demo units at either virginia store, and I've been told they are hoping to get one this week. On the thread discussing demo units, I haven't heard of anyone seeing a demo unit outside of California. Second guessing Apple is a hard thing to do, but I would think the Apple Stores would get demo units before or at the same time as the first customer's shipments.

That's not true. Apple Stores had the new iMacs a month before they actually shipped. The Cinema HD was on display about two or three weeks before they were shipping.

I do know someone who told me that his 12" got shipped yesterday.
Anyhow, I think we will be seeing them by next week.
