I have about 9 GB of music on my iTouch. I recently got a virus on my computer and I had to reboot, the songs I had on iTune got wiped out. I saved a few of the folders for iTune, but question is how do I get the music back to iTune.

There are a number of utilities that restore the contents of an iPod back to a computer.

let your eyes wander near the top of the page, and casually seek out the word "search". It's a link.
No idea if the utilities you'll find discussed in *dozens* of threads will work with the iPod touch, though, which doesn't (yet) have a disk mode.
The other option, of course, would be to click on the thread in this forum marked
"Have a question? Look here first: The Official iPod FAQ".
"FAQ", incidentally, stands for "frequently asked questions".
Apologies if it seems like I'm wasting YOUR time.

Haha - you're such a forum Nazi that I had to register just to bring that to your attention. There is a very large difference between being helpful, and being a "know-it-all" who acts as if he's on some enlightened path. It's a forum dude - chill out - no one died from the god forsaken redundancy.
From your tone, to your demeanor - and wow! You're from Germany!
The irony is simply brilliant.

Glad you enjoyed it.
I may have had a bad day, but I'll be here all week, so stick around.
And that's *very* clever, that connection you make, you know: Germany - Nazi - no, really! I'm impressed.
Your definition of "irony", however, needs work, however "brilliant" your revelation may seem.
Edit:
What irks me, as someone who *has* been registered here for eight years, is to have gone through the trouble of painstakingly typing out more or less helpful replies to the same questions half a dozen times or more over time, and then having some ********* ask the same question again that was asked within 24 hours before, and then blow off a less-than-subtle dismissal with "bigmac how about some program suggestions. net time lol ."
"net time lol ."
Irony? You decide.
Forum Nazi? If it makes you happy.
Simple pleasures, I guess.

So I'm attempting to find a way to get the music off an ipod touch, I googled it, landed on http://forums.macnn.com/103/ipod-iph...ff-ipod-touch/ in which some very kind individual informs that there is a copycat thread existing in these forums.
Upon closer inspection to the paralleling forum I notice that the same individual kindly informs that the OP should refer to the search portion of this forum. Informing that there have been countless OP asking about getting music off the ipod. To show my ignorance, I believed this individual who had provided provided 8 years of helpful advice, only to discover nothing particularly helpful, and his very kind advice about countless threads about ipod software to display his own ignorance in that she/he doesn't recognize the difference in the firmware of an ipod and an ipod touch. Imagine my surprise...
So in conclusion if anyone has any productive helpful suggestions, belligerent or no, I'd appreciate a software that actually worked with the touch.
Thank you
