ipod showing up in finder but not itunes?

	This friday, i unplugged my ipod (one of the new 15 giggers) at work and all my music had seemingly disappeared. (browsing through any method pulled up nothing). i plugged it back into my G4, and it showed up on the desktop with a few hundred megs free (indicating to me that the music was still on it), and i could browse the disk contents in the finder, but itunes didn't show it up on the sources pane on the left. i tried doing a factory software restore, but the same problem persists. any ideas, y'all? thanks!
