Self-explanitory. I'll give you money to find me a PlayStation 2 for a reasonable price. I'd like to spend no more than $350 on the unit.

eBay auctions do not count. No auction counts.

I just want a factory-sealed, NTSC PlayStation 2. I will pay for the unit, but I'm paying you for finding me one. If I buy it, I will mail you a money order for $50. There are no strings attached to this deal.

I didn't pre-order, thinking this crazy situation would never happen.

The offer is void once I buy one from somewhere. The $50 cash prize will be awarded only once.

(Edit: Oops, the title said it right. $50, not $100. Sorry guys. )

I have one. New & unopened.
I am selling it for only $500.
I have someone that said he is buying it on Friday when he gets paid
(but he told me that last week and then supposedly had car bills to pay)
So if he doesn't come through you can buy it.

I really can't afford $500 right now. I have found many PlayStation 2 systems for $500, but I'd rather wait than pay a super marked-up price. Maybe if you came down to $450 we could have a deal.

After all, I just got a G4 cube and a new PC.

I saw at least 6 of them at a Toys R Us near me in Chicago yesterday... $399 for the unit plus two games.

Chris, thank you for your insight. Would you be willing to pick up one of the PlayStation 2 machines for me? I would pay you a total of $449 for your services and the unit (and the games). Please contact me. You can reach me at [email protected].

Thanks for your help!

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have a winner! I don't know yet, though!

If you can wait a few months, you would do well to wait until early next year, as a new model is coming out next week in Japan with enhanced DVD capabilities and a Sony-branded wireless remote included. This model will likely migrate to the US shortly after the new year once demand in Japan is satisfied. Not only that, you won't have to pay someone to find the unit for you.

Having owned one for six months, I don't see what all the fuss is about. The games aren't all that great.
