I'm getting a 17" iMac CD next week. When I get it I want to name the hard drive and give it a custom icon.

What should I name it or how should I go about naming it?

I named my iMac G5 2.0ghz "chloe" (Named after the 24 charactor)

She's kinda cute, nerdy and gets the job done.

She's too rough on Edgar. The poor SOB can barely get a word out, before Chloe insults him six ways from Sunday. I think he might be mildly retarded, but that doesn't keep Chloe from kicking him over and over again. Damn you Chloe!!!

Call it "Kim" (after another 24 character). She's way cute, not nerdy, and no doubt gets the "job done". As an added plus she knows how to handle a varitey of firearms, and can fend off mountain lions in a pinch.

Why don't you pick a field that interests you, either professionaly or as a hobby, and name it after someone famous in that field?

For example, I named my PowerBook Babbage and my new iMac Turing. Both Charles Babbage and Alan Turing were influential in the development of computers.
