Hey,

I have my HD partitioned, one for OS 9.1 System, one for everything else.

Can iTunes be made to store library info in a folder on the "everything else" partition, instead of in the Documents folder on the startup partition? I know you can have mp3 and AIFF files saved to a different partition, but what about those others?

Also, I have for the moment decided to use iTunes instead of Toast as my primary cd burning app. Is this a good idea? I've not been unhappy with Toast, but I'm interested to see how iTunes works.

you can change the location of your itunes folder (in x at least...) by going to preferences -> advanced -> music folder location. click change and select the folder you want. anything you rip will automatically be placed in this folder as well. you may have to move existing files...not sure.

as far as burning within itunes, i've found it to be extremely slow, although this may be just my experience.

ooh...reread your post. sorry bout that. i haven't seen anything that lets your change library data. But we're talking like maybe a megabyte of data unless you have an enormous library. Reason?
