So what's it take to get on the front page of Digg? Seriously!

So a friend I have spent about a week of many sleepless nights working really hard on a website ( more info in this thread) that I put on Digg the other day and within several hours we already got 40+ diggs and yet.. nothing.
We've got the most popular site under the Apple news category and yet it still hasn't hit the main page. What gives?
Does anyone know what it takes to get on the front page of Digg? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We'd love it if more people could access our site and add their contributions, so Digg looks like the best way to do that, yet we're stuck between a hard place and a rock without any knowledge

People still use Digg? I thought that was just Kevin Rose and his 100 accounts talking to himself.

Haha, maybe that's how it works. Those who are "in the know", please do tell.

Yeah I was actually thinking there's got to be some good Digg alternatives. If anybody's got some let me know
