Hi all,
(I posted this over in Networking, but seeing as that forum gets virtually NO traffic, and there's a bunch of networking questions in here, and this technically may qualify as a Panther bug, I'll repost here...)
I have a 12" Rev. A Powerbook connected via Airport to an iMac DV 400 on DSL.
Internet connection sharing via Software Base Station works perfectly, with the exception of FTP.
I cannot access ftp sites, notable example being, say:
ftp://ftp2.emagic.de/pub/logic/updma...inum_6.3.3.dmg
wget in Terminal tells me "could not switch to directory /pub/logic/updmac/platinum/", Safari downloads will simply timeout, and the Finder FTP won't do anything, either.
I have set FTP to passive mode in the sysprefs, I have disabled/re-enabled FTP access on both machines, disabled the Firewall on the iMac, all to no avail.
These same FTP downloads work absolutely perfectly from the iMac, so the problem must be down the line somewhere.
Any other ideas?
