I'm sorry but I live in Europe. You haven't provided one single link to back up your claims. Give it a try.

And neither did you... and Iceland is VERY different than the mainland in regards to their policies and economics.

I lived in Sweden for 12 years. Still have contacts with people all over Europe as well.

What, still no link to back up your ridiculous claims?

No links to back up yours? Or do you just plan on bullying this around until I get bored with it?

The levels of Socailization in Europe (on the avg.) are still running Left, only now, they're getting more and more secular and religiously intolerant. What's going on over there? What's happening to you people?

I didn't make the ridiculous claim that Europe was going further to the left.

You should be the one providing links to back that up. Not me.

The Proletarian ideology that a person need not strive to succeed is attractive to many, as is the desire to cast off many responsibilities and leave them to the gov't to handle. To me, and many others, that's just not acceptable.
What in god's green earth are you talking about?

I really, really, hate doing this, but I will side with Logic on this. This book explains it well. The whole western world has shifted away from the Socialist/Corporatist model. However, the US and Europe didn't begin in the same place so it has played out differently here from there. It makes simple comparisons difficult.

All-righty then. Then I can see how you'd be happy that Bush was elected, being that he's so much farther Right than Kerry. Since we're all moving that direction, this should make you jump for joy. Can't let someone like Kerry, who wants to socialize healthcare and keep our retirement systems under gov't control, in the White House. We're all moving towards completely open markets. Correct? Or, is there a Leftward agenda, and socialist leanings, you're not discussing?

So, what you're saying is: Most Europeans, though slowly moving to the Right (by their claims), are still so far Left that they make our wingnut Liberals look like Arch-conservatives? Correct?

Well, then I apologize. They were already so Liberal/Socialist that their attempts to move to the Right haven't even shown up on OUR radar yet.

Well, that's slightly oversimplifying.
