I needed a laptop backpack, and have been looking around casually for a few weeks now. Saw this one and decided to swoop it up. Great price.

Buy.com also has the Complete Firefly Series for $26.00.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

Got a MacBook aluminum and an Airport Extreme from the Apple Store. The savings weren't great -- just $101 -- but I purchased through an affiliate link that gives me airline miles.

I haven't seen any great deals.

But I wasn't really waiting to purchase anything either.

I know, I bought a few DVDs from Amazon.

I had to go help my grandparents with something and they live near the local mall. It was an absolute mad-house and I can't count how many times some 20-something girl chatting on a cellphone almost rammed into my truck.

I did not barricade myself in a cellar and wait for it all to be over, but I DID avoid all but the most necessary retail establishments (a grocery store). Driving past a Wal-Mart was actually more "creeping" past, as the congestion was intense and insane.

Tomorrow I take a dog to the vet. And I'm probably still going to stay well clear of malls and shopping centers.

I didn't buy anything but my wife went out mid-morning after the first rush. I looked at the ads yesterday, and maybe my expectations were way too high, but I didn't see any gigantic savings like I thought I would.

Just so you all know... the day after thanksgiving is usually the slowest day of the year for most grocery stores... I experienced 8 hours of it today...

320 gig 2.5-inch portable USB 2.0 enclosure for the daughter's iBook -- $79.00 at Fry's. Crazy cheap! And fashion colors, too!

Anyone that would trample a man to death for $8 Wranglers should be shot off a high speed catapult into a brick wall. What the hell is wrong with people?

Oh come on. I'd kill kittens with a butter knife for a $97 Garmin GPS, let alone trample people...

More compelling than the jeans but not compelling enough. Next year they should have the catapult set up right in the parking lot and launch the first dude that looks like he might be thinking of making a run for the door. Just as an example to others.

Personally I think the jackasses should be launched directly into the sun. Unfortunately both the government and the private sector have been woefully lax in catapult technology, instead wasting money on things that wouldn't amuse me nearly as much.

Until that time, this is a good movie about launching a rocket directly into the sun in order to "restart" it.

(No, really. Good flick! )

I got some great deals. I got the following:
Garmin Nuvi 200 for $97 for my mom - http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-200-3-5...8010796&sr=8-1
973 peice LEGO® Castle King's Castle Siege for $50 for my son - http://www.amazon.com/LEGO%C2%AE-Cas...8010845&sr=8-2
V.Smile Pocket Learning System for $25 for my daughter - http://www.amazon.com/Vtech-V-Smile-...8010921&sr=1-2
And a *bunch* of other stuff. It was a good day to shop!

I bought a lot of it online, and then got up at 4am and spent 4 hours in the craziness getting the rest. Good times...

Didn't shop during Black Friday. Instead I participated in an hour long remote controlled car figure-8 endurance race.

I liked it although I thought it could have been better. I'm a big fan of launching things into the sun.

On topic, the total extent of my black friday shopping was a ninja like insertion into Barnes & Nobel to grab a book. I'm pleased to report the mission was a success.

I bought stuff the past 2 years, but didn't get anything on or offline this year. There are a couple things I would have considered, but the savings weren't so great and I'd rather pay 10% more and not waste 4 hours of my time.

I got a GPS for the same price that other places were selling it as a doorbuster. Bought it at 10:30PM the night before. No getting up early, no waiting in lines. I didn't have to trample or shoot anybody.

I was here:

I don't think it was any crazier than a normal day. The sales were a bit of a joke, but that's how Apple rolls.

Nothing from Apple, but I did buy a couple things.
1) Bodum Chambord 8 Cup Coffee Press at Macy's.
2) MotorStorm: Pacific Rift at Fred Meyer, but later found a way better deal at Target.

For keeping my house clean of dust, for any sexy maids that show up, and also for the occasional hip hop video.
