I got that iMac cdrom update and now my cd's are slower than ever. I think it was better off without it. anyone agree? Maybe it's just me.

Also, I love the Mac OS but the most annoying thing with it is when I click to the finder from another program the whole darn computer halts and spins up the CD and/or makes a call to the SuperDisk and I have to sit and wait a few seconds when I am trying to access the hard drive. Anyone know how to have the finder not make a call to a disk when I am not trying to access it? May not sound like a big deal but after the tenth time it gets real annoying. I have to remove all the disks when I'd rather leave something in there when I know I'll use it later. I don't mind waiting for a spinup when I am trying to access the cd. Anyone?
