While taking apart my iMac to install new memory I noticed the monitor actually plugs into the motherboard with a standard connector. There may be a device that will plug into that to display on a tv. PS. Your iMac screen will not disply since it will be unplugged. Good Luck

Look up Focus Enhancements. It has a new product called iTView Gold for iMacs. It says that it is plug and play but the description does not say how to plug it into the iMac. They make products specifically for displaying
the computer screen on a TV.

Go to

Good Luck!
