I've also never heard the NRA referred to as a civil rights organization. They are wrapping themselves in this word for protection like double-speak.

So, a Trump admin official cracked a joke about McCain dying. He's neither apologized publicly nor has he been fired/resigned.

Mercedes Schlapp, who left the WHCD 'early' because of its coarseness hasn't condemned it.

**** you all

Apparently their only action has been to lecture staff about leaks.

Here's a shocker, if you don't want hateful comments leaked, don't make hateful comments?

I’ve always thought it was one, and was curious why they didn’t position themselves as such.

I’ve also felt it odd they’re not better pals with the ACLU.

Civil terrorism is a great buzz phrase. Great for showing how utterly insane you are.

They should have accused the restaurant of donating to civil terrorists.

I'm really perplexed and angered that five democrats will vote for Haspel for CIA. She was involved in the Bush era torture program and the coverup. This strikes me as an easy moral red-line not to cross. Re-election in a red state or not.

In the past 30 days there have been 10 on-camera press briefings. (Not including one AF1 gaggle w/ Raj Shah).

The average press briefing in the past 30 days was only 17.3 minutes long. Per @AlliemalCNN
The White House really, really doesn't want to answer questions anymore.

^^^

Greitens’ surprise announcement came hours after a ruling by a Cole County judge that would force the governor’s campaign and a dark-money political group affiliated with Greitens to reveal fundraising information to a special House committee that was investigating the governor.
Apparently this was damaging enough that the GOP led House committee had was going to recommend impeachment. So he resigned instead when his financial backers abandoned ship.

Wait, so what's the implication here? That his donors pressure him to resign so they would be kept secret? DOes this stuff come out anyway?

Not in this case. The STL District Attorney agreed to drop felony charges against him related to him using a donor list for one of his charities for campaign purposes in exchange for his resignation.

Good question.
Filings show O’Donnell gave a combined $5,400 in contributions over the limit to the five candidates, and used five different New York addresses and four variations of her name

Breaking several federal laws

Will she be prosecuted and sentenced the same as Dinesh D’Sousza?

🤔
Prolly not.

I can easily establish premeditation if a contributor is using straw donors and is on record lying about it to the campaign he’s contributing to. I feel like humiliating a shitbag today, so he goes down hard.

To her great relief, I can’t establish dick about Rosie. No straw donors, no lying to the campaign.

The variations on her name isn’t lying. The media not telling you what they are is the lying. In court, it comes out the variations mean “Rose” instead of “Rosie”, and inconsistently dealing with the apostrophe and double capitalization in her last name.

I don’t prosecute Rose, because if I tried I’d get fired for being a ****ing idiot.

Here’s some legal advice from me, free of charge.

Don’t trust the media.

The question was if he should have been prosecuted and sentenced, not if what Dinesh did was illegal, it was.

What O'Donnell did was just as illegal. She did it five times to D'Souza's one time.
The question I quoted from Twitter is whether not O"Donnell will be given the same treatment as D'Souza. D'Souza feels Preet Bharara went after him because he dared make a movie criticizing him.

"With regard to Preet Bharara, I see him along with Eric Holder as part of this Obama team of goons that was unleashed to get me in retaliation for the movie I made about Obama," he said.
In a second tweet, the author accused Bharara of forcing his confession on the illegal donation charge by threatening him with a "redundant charge" that carried a prison term.

"Bharara & his goons bludgeoned me into the plea by threatening to add a second redundant charge carrying a prison term of FIVE YEARS," he said.
Preet Bharara, of course, thinks otherwise.
"The President has the right to pardon but the facts are these: D'Souza intentionally broke the law, voluntarily pled guilty, apologized for his conduct & the judge found no unfairness. The career prosecutors and agents did their job. Period," he tweeted.
Does this sound typical for a single violation of campaign laws? It's not close to what John Junker did as the Fiesta Bowl's CEO.
Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced today that DINESH D’SOUZA was sentenced in Manhattan federal court to five years of probation, with eight months during the first year to be served in a community confinement center, after having pled guilty to violating the federal campaign election law by making illegal contributions to a United States Senate campaign in the names of others. D’SOUZA was sentenced today before U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman.

In addition to the probationary term with confinement to a community center, Judge Berman sentenced D’SOUZA, 53, of San Diego, California, to a mandatory eight-hour day of community service every week of his five-year term of probation, weekly counseling sessions, and ordered him to pay a $30,000 fine, as well as a $100 special assessment.

It's a semantic difference; Unless you think what he did should be legal, the question of whether he should be prosecuted and sentenced is moot, right?

To answer you question, I think campaign finance should be policed like mad. I don't care about the letter after the name those people are donating to.

She didn’t use different names. A diminutive isn’t a different name. Varying capitalization isn’t using a different name.

So they're keeping 'vote centers open through Friday'.

No word from officials.... probably just another gang shooting. But it did lock down the polling place for hours...and put all other polling places on high alert.

DREAMer murdered after deportation back to Mexico.
The statement from Shawn Neudauer, ICE public affairs officer, also said Manuel wasn't technically deported, but was escorted to Mexico by ICE deportation officers at the Laredo, Texas, border this past April 24. He called it a voluntary departure process that doesn't carry the penalties of a formal deportation.

Pissing off all the right people.

'He's willing to destroy the world': Billionaire investor and liberal donor George Soros blasts Trump's presidency saying 'everything that could go wrong has gone wrong'

The 87-year-old Holocaust survivor Nazi collaborator accused the President of being 'willing to destroy the world'
Geoge Soros claimed that with the Trump Administration, 'everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong'
Soros plans to spend roughly $15million in the 2018 elections
The billionaire describes Trump as a 'marcissist' who 'considers himself all-powerful'
It also looks like there will be one less boogie man for the left with David Koch stepping down and for health reasons. That leaves Charles to take on Soros, DuPont, and Rockefeller.
