Made by Microsoft, not surprising its shite. I tried calling my wife (her name is Marie) and it called someone called Carine instead.
No Dakar, the car was setup in English, it wasn't my crappy French accent.
You have a diesel Laminar?

Just as a matter of general interest, there is an amazing Ford ad, Ford I think, on German television these days.
Couple drives through the woods.
"Heck, we are visiting your parents again. Damn"
"Sorry?" (angry)
Guy doesn't know what to do. Realizes mistake. Girl convinced of anger.
Guy writes SMS to car.
Car announces SMS arrived. Giel opens SMS.
Car says "I'm really sorry for the mess, sweet-pie."
Weekend saved.

Same ad in France, but it revolves around the girlfriend's mother not being the queen. The guy sends a text message saying "I'm sorry your Highness".

Wicked smart.
Obviously someone did tune-up the rear engine, which along with the RWD, made possible that the smart would stand in upright position, requiring even less parking space in the process. And as if that wasn't enough, with minimal modification, –namely a stylized symbol of a bat attached to the front lights, this smart would make a good Bat-Signal.
Main take-home finding here: people, I wouldn't laugh at a car that will stand in upright position. You don't know what comes next.

Orders started today for the 2015 Tanner Foust edition Fiesta ST (up to 350bhp w/ a warranty, WTF?!), you can get one via select Ford dealers or directly from COBB Tuning. If you go through the latter there are more options available, of course.

Any articles on it? Everything I can find is from last year. I liked the idea of the Fiesta ST, but I couldn't give up any rear legroom. The Fiesta is two inches down on the Focus, which is already a bit too small for a rear-facing car seat and a tall driver/passenger.

Fixed? My buddy refuses to sit in the passenger seat of his Focus if the baby seat is installed - he's 6-4.

My wife fits at 5'9". At 6'5", my knees touch the dash. We went to rear-facing front-facing as soon as it was legal (1 year) and have been happy with it since. It was easy enough to take her (bigger) car whenever we were traveling as a family and just use mine for single-adult trips.

This is why car tech is so annoying. You buy the car, you get what's built in. The MF gives up/moves on stops updating and you're stuck.

Here's a video taken in a car that supports both Apple's CarPlay and Android Auto:
Apple CarPlay vs Google Android Auto — full comparison (Video) | 9to5Mac
I remember when the interfaces were first announced and people couldn't believe that an automaker would lock them into using a single brand of device, as though something that supports CarPlay wouldn't be able to connect to an Android. People are dumb.

Yes it does, probably someone like this:

Nope. I mean the car's owner is the asshole.
Was standing around outside and it caught my eye as a driver with chronic spatial confusion.

A prerequisite to own one of the 4x4 Hyundais IIRC.

That's actually a really good point, but the marks seem centered in a way they'd needed to have t-boned the ****er.

It doesn't seem that bad. I wouldn't put it in the "car owner clearly gives no f***s about safety/insurance/appearance, give wide berth" category.

I'm thinking of buying a 2015 Honda Fit. I'm coming from a 2005 Honda Civic. Any ideas on the Fit?

What are your priorities? MPG? Space? Reliability? Any specific reason you're stepping over to a different category (compact to subcompact)?

Honestly the Fit is really nice from a convenience perspective. It's a subcompact but probably has more rear and interior space than a new Civic/compact. The way the seats fold down is genius - and flat too. If you want a small car, and you want practical features (i.e. you're not looking for something like a Mini/Fiat/etc), then it's probably the best one I've personally driven.
I'll let Laminar tell you about bhp at the crank.

Reliability, flexibility, and mileage are my priorities. Although it does seem I am downgrading to a Fit, it is, in every sense of the word, an upgrade because it has ten year newer technology making it safer, handle better, etc.
And nothing can be slower than my Civic; I think it has a 10.3 second 0-60 time.

Yes, practicality is paramount to me. And it probably does have more overall interior room than my Civic. Overall OTD price should be approximately the same as when I purchased my Civic ten years ago brand new, but with much better stuff inside.

I don't have a lot of experience with the new subs, but I really like the Fiesta ST. It's just a hell of a lot of fun, seems very efficient, and its construction quality is damned good too.

The Fit seems perfect then! You say "downgrade," but notice I was careful to say "over". Smaller certainly doesn't guarantee it's worse, especially considering the way that cars tend to bloat over time and manufacturers have had to introduce new models to fill the gaps now that today's "compacts" are as large as midsize cars from a decade or two ago.

Yes, that was a carefully crafted sentence. Haha. Yes, cars have become bloated. A regular family sedan is now longer a midsized sedan. It is often classified as a large car in the case of the new Honda Accord.

Watched both parts last night, crazy stuff at the end and overall a fairly enjoyable xmas special, if not a bit predictable. My favorite is still Bolivia.

Shit! You just made me realize that I'd never seen the Bolivia special! My night just got booked!
Yeah, it was pretty good. I liked the
actual ending better than the original plan to build the stadium + car soccer,
haha. At the same time I was disappointed that there was
no recap of the cars' performances...I mean, I know the apparently had to abandon the cars, but this special seemed particular suited to a quick summary of how their choices performed. (I guess what I'm really saying is, the Lotus definitely got a raw deal given its amazing showing! I would never have thought.) But it could be that they do one at the beginning of the next episode.
I think I liked last year's Burma one a little better, but I had unknowingly sat through Bridge on the River Kwai just weeks before it aired, so it was pleasantly topical at the time.
Finally, I know they've always relied on them pretty heavily, but the absurd staged set pieces do get a little more tiring lately. The fake bits about
running the cars over over a cow carcass and through trees, and then a swamp, etc.
are just...well, sometimes good for a laugh here and there (e.g.
the mere visual of the Lotus in a swamp, let alone the claim that it performed well)
, but mostly come across as obvious filler to justify a two-part special, at least to me.
