You mean when it doesn't have one of the covers, right?

I actually have been contemplating just switching to one of those roll up keyboards full time, I'm so unpredictably bad. I should not be allowed around a keyboard. Period.

Yeah, you can soak a keyboard without a cover in distilled water. I've heard of people washing their keyboards in their dishwasher withouth detergent, but just soak the keyboard in distilled water if you are more paranoid. Just make sure the keyboard is completely dry before you plug it back in, because if its still a bit wet and you plug it in, it WILL kill the keyboard.

Better late than never I got this about a month ago and I just love it. 1.2ghz w/ 768mb ram. Spanning Doctor installed so I can hook it up with my 19" LCD. I'm glad I tried an Apple. (Black case is running Ubuntu Linux and hosting my website: http://pjhyett.com )

It's a Hyundai (yea, the car manufacturer) and cost me around $350 I believe. I love it so much more than my old CRT.

thanks! I just used my canon sd10 powershot.. I have the bronze one .. the 4.0 megapixels. So its not the newest ones but I still love the super macro shot feature on it. =) I don't use an external lens for it. I don't think one is available for such a model

There are people with far costlier setups that don't manage to achieve the same effect. Good work!

What brand and model of desk is that, anyways?

Thanks for the replies guys, i purchased this desk about a year ago from Freedom Furniture (Australian Furniture store) for about $600AUS. Sorry, but I cant remember exactly wat the name of the desk is since its been discountinued and is no longer on their website. I previously had a very large (6ft) desk, so this desk got a lil getting use to, but these days i have far less paper and books lying around... i guess we're just moving with the times... so no more messy desk.

Not sure who this is addressed to, but one way is to use an external keyboard and iCurve (or external monitor) when you're at home and only use the laptop keyboard and trackpad when you're on the road.

I think it was directed toward me? I just got it last Wednesday from my school for the year, and I do a thing called washing me hands. I also use a mighty mouse and an external keyboard when possible. I am happy to have Lappy back.

P.S. Sorry for the crappy picture quality the only digital camera I have is the one that is bulit into my video camera. (photographers: I do have a really good camera, it's just not digital...)

if you used www.imageshack.us to host your picture it will give you a couple of different link types, if you go to the two that say:
for fourms:
and then is a box to the right it will have a link (use the one on top/the first one). If you copy the link as is and paste it in to the text box for your post on MacNN then it will come up as a picture... like mine
