I have a very old laser printer (top quality printing), a Hewlett-Packard 6 MP, connected to my Mac through a printer server and USB.

Suddenly he can't print pdf documents.

After I click "print", the light blinks on the printer - document received. The blinking stops. No printing occurs.

Could a newest version of Adobe Reader be the reason? I could always print PDF documents, but about two months ago that changed.

What do you think?

Have you tried opening the PDFs in Preview and printing from there?

Have you checked the printer queue to make sure there aren't a bunch of "stuck" documents waiting to print? And do other documents print OK?

Have you turned it on and off again? (seriously)
Yes, I concur with trying Preview. We have a printer at work, with a certain set of drivers and using Foxit PDF reader, PDFs print blank.

Sometimes it helps to remove the printer in the preferences, and add it back.

All of those are good ideas. To the original poster: your printer is just putting dots on the page. It doesn't "know" anything about pdf. It doesn't "care" what kind of document you send. It just prints dots. Try the above suggestions.

Thanks for all your replies.

I'll try your suggestions.

By the way: browsing the web I saw I'm not the only one. Adobe Reader seems to cause a lot of Pdf printing trouble.
