OK, so hi MacNN, sorry I've been busy, what with the Church plant, and working 40 hours a week... incase you're wondering how my life is going, I'm now pastoring a small emergent Church that meets upstairs at one of Winnipeg's local gay bars. I recently upgraded my MacBook to a 200gig 7200rpm HD, my BlackBerry Curve is doing great, as is my new iPhone which I swap the sim cards between when I'm at work.

And lastly... I think I have a crush on someone who recently started coming to my Church with a friend of mine. We went out for dinner tonight just as friends, but he's super nice, like insanely nice, not shallow, smart, and like... I dono just honestly a great guy, siiiigh. I actually just met his ex the other day, when he mentioned that I'd met his ex, I said, "You dated him? Well that was nice of you." Which apparently got a good laugh.
I can't vent anywhere else though because too many of my friends know him casually now, and he knows about my blog... and... arg. Being gay sucks... everything is so physical, and now I feel like this guy who's a great guy, but happens to be really hot, would never date me. Only he's insanely nice, and might even be being flirty with me... I'm really not sure. I've learned to constantly tell myself that they're not flirting with me even when they are. Actually now I only know guys are flirting with me when they're making it clear they want to take me to bed.

So... yah... how's life with you people?

Uhh the picture is one I drew a few months ago.

Actually I'm also working on some album art work for a musician I like... I've got two more pieces to do.

For example.

But yah, nope life isn't much easier. Though I confess now that school's done it's pretty good. My bosses at work are kinda... blah the company kinda nickles and dimes us to death, but my take home pay for december was just shy of four grand. Which is pretty dang good. Feburary's cheque coming at the end of this month is gonna suck though

But yah... planting a Church full of homos sucks when you're single. I've had crushes on two of our members, one of whom is now dating a good friend of mine (I'm actually really glad they got together though they're a great couple) and... I dono it's really tough when you're single to be putting all this work into something and then see other people meet people who are great for them through it, meanwhile most of the time I've still been pinning for my first love in Tennessee... but recently I gave up again, on that, again, like last week. Actually since then I've had like just several guys seem to take interest in me and I'm confused.

Though, I will say... being gay and not hot is not fun. I mean I'm not ugly, I still get random offers for sex, and old men buying me drinks at the bar and stuff... but... ever feel like anyone interested in you could go for someone a bit more sane? Grrr.

Nice artwork, and glad to see you back here Salty.

It was nice of you to give us an update rather than vent to all the hot chicks I thought you always hung out with.
Good luck with the Church and be careful about getting involved with other members.

Dude, I hear tell from single straight guys that being straight and not hot isn't any fun either. Just keep plugging at it and you'll meet someone. Someone for everyone, right? Tip: Make sure it's nobody from anywhere near the gay bar you got your little meetings in - else there'll be scandal.

That's another problem, gay land is too small. I once had someone say I can't date anyone who comes to the Church. To which I said great that means there's only two gay Christians in the city I know who I can date... and one of them doesn't like me... and the other's an anglican...

Yes but try telling your next date that your calling in life is to spread the Kingdom of God, and see how well that goes over.
