I don't know if this is the right forum to post this, but... there it goes:
My friend wanted to make a copy of his wedding DVD (professionally made). I offered to do it for him on my 1GHz TiPB with Superdrive.
First, he brought some DVD+RW and, of course, they didn't work.
We purchased some DVD-R and I tried this way:
I dragged the DVD icon to my Documents folder and when tried it, DVD Player was able to play the movie. Then I dragged this copy (that has a DVD icon) to the empty DVD volume. Then I burned it.
The burned DVD doesn't play.
I need some advice, please. What am I doing wrong? I've never burned any DVD before.

in Disk Utility: select the DVD, Images->New->New Image from Device
Save
Put in blank media
Images->Burn
or in Toast: Select Copy, click Burn

When creating image from device I have several choices:
Image format: Read/Write or Read/Only or Compressed or DVD/CD master
Encryption: None or AES-128(recommended)
I think I should use:
DVD/CD master
AES-128
Is that right?

you don't want encryption. it probably won't do any harm, but it certainly won't do any good (and it doesn't apply to the dvd you will keep, only to the disk image you will throw away when finished burning)

I don't know what the difference is, but seems like CD/DVD master would be right if anything is
