hi could any-one say if this AGP graphics card (being sold on ebay) would be any good on a PowerMac G4 466MHZ as an upgrade. The seller says it does not fit Macs but does not explain why. Would it just need a driver or something.

I need a better card as the one fitted as standard does not support quartz extreme. thanks

If that card was not made with a mac rom, it will NOT work in a mac. IIRC, the GF2mx that was made for the mac was only a 32mb card...only the GF3/mac was 64mb

Personally I find it hilarious that you have the hots for my gramma. Especially seeins how she is 3x your age, and makes your Brittney-Spears-wannabe 30-something wife look like a rag doll who went thru WWIII with a burning stick of dynamite up her a** :)

Correction, the regular Geforce 2MX's had 32MB, but the Geforce 2MX Twinview, like this one, which can handle dual monitors had 64MB. Still it doesn't say it has a Mac ROM.

Not quite. Mac graphics cards are more expensive, but there are a lot of people selling flashed PC graphics cards for a price between the Mac-native version (generally insanely high) and the PC version (very low). It's not the best situation, but it works out okay.
So, you can get a PC GeForce 3 for probably $30-$40 or so. The Mac native version is usually over $200. Then there are flashed ones for $50-$60.
