Yikes - A kernel panic on my Macbook while running Yosemite?

So I'm editing some documents in Preview, and adding some text to an image... Preview gets all buggy, but I manage. Anyway, I type Command-K to crop the image. Immediately after I do that, the computer freezes for a second, then the screen shuts down except for a white horizontal line that flashes, then goes blank, and then I get a kernel panic message in multiple languages. Two restarts later, here we are.
What in the world? Again I've never abused this machine and I've only recently refreshed the whole OS.

I doubt I have a trojan, and it's a 2012 Macbook Air. Well whatever happened hasn't resurfaced and it was the first and only time in 2+ years of ownership, so I'm guessing it's yet another issue with the bug-swamped app Preview.

Non-recurring bugs like that are not a problem to bother with. There are such things as soft flips in RAM, and there is little one can do to prevent them beyond ECC RAM, which Intel doesn't support in its mobile or desktop chips.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
