iDVD2 is most definitely dual aware as my dual 800 can encode MPEG2 in near realtime and the new dual 1000 can encode in slightly better than realtime. The original superdrive equipped single 733 was quoted to encode in 2x realtime which means it takes twice as long as my dual 800 (this was with iDVD1.0 but encode times are nearly the same).
iMovie appears to be dual aware but I am not certain. Barefeets' site compared iMovie on a dual system to a new iMac 800 G4 and the imac was much slower (to the point that the duals definitely made a difference).
