how much more power in uk does the G5 quad use ?

hi
quick question:
i heard that the quad uses much more power than normal macs,

can any one give me some idea how much it costs to run a quad for say 6 hours a day...

like can you guess how much it costs for 6 hours in pounds or pence (i have no idea lol)

also can you compare it to my old 1gig quicksiler costs ...

i just want to know if i should expecta huge electric bill in uk :-(

"Much more power" in a computer still isn't much power.

Don't worry about your bill.

I'll make a very rough guess for each.
Quicksilver: 200 watts * 6 hours * 10 pence per kilowatt hour * 30 days = 3.6 quid a month
Quad: 350 watts * 6 hours * 10 pence per kilowatt hour * 30 days = 6.3 quid a month
Even if my estimates are off by 100% (which I doubt they are), at worst your power bill will go up by about 10 quid a month.
