I just ordered and got a 512mb chip for my 17" PowerBook thru Upgrade Nation. I thought when I ordered it I was ordering Samsung memory but the chip says TMTC. I called Upgrade Nation and he said it was Transcend memory and he was out of Samsung memory.
Does anyone have any experience with TMTC memory ? Should I return it ? I feel kind of mislead but his web site does list it as Samsung/TMTC but still, I've never heard of TMTC so I thought I was ordering Samsung.

personally. i would put it in my powerbook, see if the os sees it all and if it did then i would use it. if things started acting up and i could point it to the ram then i would get back to them. but if it all works, does it matter what the make is?

I just had a bad experience with that ram in my 15" PB. I got it as a gift on Friday, and put it in my powerbook. I was a little nervous becasue I was running video from my powerbook for a show I was involved in this past weekend. On Friday night it worked fine, but on Saturday, my PB would freeze up like crazy. On Saturday night, I took it out and everything worked fine for our Sunday show.

I did use the Apple Hardware test and it said that everything was fine. I am going to return it and get a different brand.
