Has anybody used an iSkin Protouch keyboard protector with the latest G4 PB? (see http://www.iskin.com/protouch_PB1.html)?

I have heard from an iBook user on another forum that this doesn't interfere with basic typing, but I am also concerned with degrading performance of the illuminated keypad function. Keyboards do get dirty and wear over time and I would be interested in any reviews from PB owners out there.

Thanks.

I have one with my rev c 17. It does dampen the backlit feature somewhat but it does keep any detritus from getting into the keyboard.

I also have it... and as it does make the backlit less bright.. It works great though i must say. You can see all the dirt and dust it keeps out and prolongs the keyboards life.

It does need a little adjusting to.. as it make your typing more silent and the feel of it is a bit different compared to using the keyboard with out..

A good buy indeed... do a search on other opinions..

I didn't like using the iskin. The feel of the keyboard wasn't right for me, and yes the backlit keyboard was slightly obstructed. I switched to a Shaggymac screen protector for the protective aspect.

I have a Radtech cloth for on the go but it serves a different purpose than an iSkin. That's to keep your laptop safe when using it. Helps prevent spills and stuff getting into the cracks when typing on it.
