Have you taken a spin through the page setup and the printer specific options?

Also, check your printer settings as well,

In Photoshop go to:
File > Page Setup
There you can alter the output to a printer. Set the 'scale' to 100% and the 'paper' to A4 or what ever you plan on printing to. Start there and try a print. Let us know what you get.

If your documents DPI setting is larger than 72 DPI then it will print smalller than it looks on screen. 150 - 300 DPI is print resolution, if you have a canon 4000, it takes it's higher quality images at 300 dpi. Thus they "look" larger than they actually ARE on screen because all monitors can handle only 72 dpi.

That must be it!! have set to 100% scale and a4 in set-up, so aint that.
I did set the resolution to 300, as thought print outs would be better quality?
So to sort, i need to set DPI to 72??
I'm actually trying to print out a case cover for my logitech PSP case, so have saved a template of the exact cut-out, so once printed i can cut to exact size to put in case. So is a bit frustrating when the pic on my screen is bang on, but loads smaller when printed!!

Do you have any app such as Pages or InDesign? You could create a page with the exact specs then import them image into it and print. It's an extra step but you're assured of getting the correct size you want.

Image > Image size... set the size in inches.
