What he said. This argument has been battled before and it's a matter of preference.
Safari is specifically written for OS X and thus plays more nicely with things like services, the built-in dictionary, etc., while maintaining various looks and feels that are lost in Firefox. Aesthetics are subjective, though, and some prefer the plain aqua look of Firefox to the brushed metal of Safari, while feelings about rendering are likewise mixed.
Firefox has more built-in expansion options, but most of them are reproducible in Safari, too.
Safari can be extended, basically, thusly:
- AcidSearch2 allows for multiple search engines in the Google field of the toolbar among other things.
- Adblocking can rudimentarily be done with a CSS stylesheet, while others will use PithHelmet.
- Firefox's Greasemonkey can be achieved with Creammonkey.
I also prefer Safari's built-in RSS to any of what Firefox has to offer.

agree with jwoods. I like Safari, though it can be a little slow sometimes. For the most part it suits my needs. FF on PC though hands down.

I've tried Firefox, Safari, Camino and IE. So far, I'm leaning towards Camino.

LOVE : HATE weirdness
Have to keep FF around for occasional non-functioning of Safari.
Then... I can't believe how clunky buttons look on FF. (Plus I *really* like Safari's brushed metal: because it fades into background and lets web design stand out.)
That said: I wish Safari *would* allow its button styles to be overwritten (at least when *I* am designing a site  for occasional cleverness ).

I go with Safari
FF is good for development - good javascript debugger and the CSS Edit module totally rules.
but it doesn't follow Mac interface standards, like in text fields the pg up/dwn, home and end keys don't work right, drives me nuts.
Two things bug me about safari.
1) the auto-complete type ahead seems to drop more stuff into my text fields after I hit the return key to submit a form, I'm constantly having to go back and fix data. I like firefox's method better, all the options are in a pop down and you have to take an action to choose one. it's out in where safari is opt out.
2) a complicated or bad web page can bring it to it's knees, especially when you opened it in another tab and have no way to stop it's loading. SPOD city. It should respond better to hitting the 'stop loading' button or closing a tab.
3) (bonus bug!) I get fed up and click the stop loading button just as it finished and now the damned thing reloads. These should really be 2 different buttons.
