Has anyone had any troubles with the AirPort Extreme card using Wireless internet and a Cordless phone interfering? I know that was an issue before with wireless networks, but I want to know if there is a fix for it now?

I had issues w/ an SMC Barricade and a Uniden 2.4GHz phone. But since I upgrade to the 5.8GHz I have had no problems what so ever.

I've used alot of portable phones over the years, and i have a recent favorite. It's 2 line, 900MHZ sony. It's an incredible phone, got it on ebay for 60 dollars. Doesnt interfere with wifi (its not 2.4ghz) and it does 2line and has speakerphone in the base. It's an awesome phone and its less expensive than competing current technology. However i live in a small house and have not used it in a large house, it may not fair as well over longer distances.

Well, there are still multiple channels on both phones and network, but sometimes when they decided to use the same channel that's when things get messed up. So it might be the fact that some wireless routers never use the same channel as the phone.

There is no blanket answer. Panasonic 2.4GHz phones are well-known for causing problems with 802.11b.

Siemens and V-Tech are known for not causing problems.

Do a search for this in the Networking forum, where this belongs, there is more on this subject there.
