Yeah, I know I don't have DVI. And I don't want to spend the $300 for a VGA>DVI converter box. So, what are my options? Would like a 19" or 20." Doable? Can the video card drive it? What options work best on analog? I use the monitor primarily for text. Thanks!

I'd go with the Dell 17" Ultrasharp LCD - model 1704FPV. Includes both VGA and DVI inputs, USB 2.0 hub and a native 1280x1024 display. A very bright display to help offset the darker 12" display.

Costs about $315; it's on sale at the moment, normally $349.
