Just stumbled upon this Finder hack for SL. I'm typically weary of things like this but thought I'd give it a go. (It requires SIMBL). The developer has recently implemented sorting with folders on top, but only for list view. I'm hoping he gets to column view soon. I'm liking the tabs (aesthetically I'm not thrilled, but functionally it's nice).
Anyone know of any simple/reliable method of getting folders to sort first in Finder?

I'd like to have an option for each folder to have files named after months sorted by time.
The current sorting just drives me nuts:

The "simplest" way I've found is to add a space or an underscore to the beginning of the folder name. It's a bit of a hack but it works. This of course presumes that your folder is sorted by name.

This isn't a bad idea. However, I already had a few Finder crashes after installing this, so I uninstalled it and everything is back to normal.
