i read that you can turn on a smp mode in the console, does it work for 1.29beta osx version?

To get Q3A to take advantage of a second CPU, do the following:

1) Open the console (hit the 'tilde' key, looks like this: ~ )
2) Type: r_smp 1
3) Hit return
4) Close console

That's it!
